After years of tinkering and rebuilding motorcycles in their garage, Todd Brady and Nova McIntyre decided to turn their passion into something bigger. With a growing reputation for quality work, they established The American Garage LLC on American Drive, taking on one client at a time due to the size of their small workspace. As demand for their expertise grew, Todd and Nova knew they needed to expand to bring their vision to life. When a shop space in Bunns Village became available, they saw it as the perfect opportunity.
Taking a leap of faith, they signed the lease and turned their pipe dream into a reality. Today, The American Garage LLC is a hub where passion meets precision in motorcycle, trike, and ATV repair, customization, and maintenance. Situated in the heart of McMinnville, OR, we take pride in delivering exceptional service and personalized care to every rider who trusts us with their ride. For expert craftsmanship and reliable service, trust The American Garage LLC. We can be reached at 503-550-4656 or 971-237-8291. Let us keep your ride running at its best!
Founded on craftsmanship, commitment, and a deep respect for the open road, The American Garage LLC is more than just a repair shop – it’s a hub for motorcycle and trike enthusiasts who demand top-tier performance and unparalleled style. Our skilled technicians bring years of experience, meticulous attention to detail, and a passion for all things two-wheel, three-wheeled, and four-wheeled to every project we undertake.
Yarley is the first motorcycle we rode together. It is also Todd's first custom motorcycle build and is on display in the retail section of our shop. Todd carried Yarley around in crates for years. When Todd showed the kids he had a bike, they were so excited and said, "Dad, you have a Harley." Todd responded, "No, it's a Yamaha with Harley parts." The kids replied, "It's a Yarley, then." From there, the name stuck.
From childhood, Todd had a passion for bikes. His earliest memory of freedom on two wheels was when he was given a ride on his family’s tote goat at the young age of 2 (his family had to peel him off it; he would not get off). Todd continued his love of the machine when he was 16 years old. He purchased and began working on and repairing a ’74 Yamaha GT80, a ’78 ATC 90 & a ’79 Honda Odyssey.
At 17 years old, he did the same with a ’77 Kawasaki 125, and again, at 18 years old, a ’72 Honda SL 350, and in his 20s, a ’71 Yamaha TX650, a Suzuki RM250, and an ’83 XR500. In his 30s, he introduced the lifestyle to his children with various ATVs, Dirt-bikes & Street bikes. When he and Nova met, he introduced the love of the ride to her by taking her on a ride up through Nestucca (Mountain west of Carlton, OR) on a suction cup seat on the back of Yarley until they ran into the snow. From that moment forward, Nova was hooked.
Big Pig - was the second motorcycle we rode. We knew Yarley would not be conducive to long rides for us, especially together, so an upgrade was needed. As our rides began getting longer, we knew our Honda 1800 VTX wasn't comfy for us both and decided an upgrade to the "dark side" was required.
Riding over to the “dark side” we knew Blue was going to take some customizing to fit our vision of him. We began with a short trunk and then extended bags. We could leave “sh!#” alone, but Oh wait—we wanted a new paint job, air ride, a louder sound system (more speakers), a larger motor, LED lights, and much more. Yep, Blue has it all, including a matching single-wheel N-line trailer.
